Sharon Funicelli
DNP, RN APRN FNP-BC
Sharon Funicelli, DNP, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in nursing, including critical care, emergency medicine, and academic education. Her international career across South Africa, the UK, and the U.S. has shaped her into a compassionate, globally minded and adaptable clinician.
Sharon has taught didactic and clinical courses in Maternal and Child Health for the Direct Entry MSN (DEMSN) program and remains active in nursing education and mentorship. She holds a DNP from Aspen University, an MSN in Leadership from American Sentinel University, a Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Chamberlain University, and a BSN with Honors from Thames Valley University in London. Her foundational training was completed in Cape Town, South Africa.
Now focused on women’s health, Sharon provides care in areas including contraception, menstrual health, menopause support, pap smears, breast exams, and preventive screenings. She is passionate about advancing her expertise to better support the health and well-being of women across all stages of life.
